Okay, I really like movies. But for some reason last year I didn't see many in the theater. I mean like five or less. I don't really know why. I'm sure part of it was I was in such a bad financial place last year. I would rather spend my money at a baseball game than a movie. But still, it's pretty sad when you love movies so much, and you can count the ones you saw on one hand. So what did I see in 2002?
1. Not another teen movie (my friends drug me, it was horrid)
2. Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets(love it, but then again, anyone who knows me already knows this ;) )
3. The Ring (I really am a scardy cat, but I liked this one)
4. xXx (Vin Diesel, is there anything more to say? SWOON!)
5. Amelie (Such a sweet cute movie!)
Well, we are less than three weeks into 2003, and I've already seen four movies.
1. Catch Me If You Can
2. Narc
3. LOTR: The Two Towers
4. A Guy Thing
Of course, two of those were for my birthday. But today I was bored, so I decided to get out and go see A Guy Thing, all by myself. It was good. I really like Julia Stiles, and Jason Lee was very cute in this movie.
I liked Catch Me If You Can. Good story, amazing that someone of his age could get away with even a LITTLE of that stuff. Narc was very good. I hadn't even heard of it, but my friend suggested it. The way it was filmed was awesome, and both Ray Liotta and Jason Patric were fantastic. The Two Towers...amazing. I'm usually in bed by ten, but we saw the late (well, 8:30) showing, and even I was able to stay awake! I liked the first one a lot, but a lot of the things confused me. After viewing the second one, I'm not as confused anymore. The visuals in the movie were great.
There are a ton of movies I really want to see. Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Maid in Manhatten, Two Weeks Notice, Chicago, Star Trek, Just Married...tons more I'm sure.
I watched Signs last night too...great movie, but NOT a great idea to watch at 11pm. I scared the shit out of myself. I had to wach the rest of Trading Spaces afterwards so I could sleep! I bought Amelie today too, so I'm going to watch that in a bit...YAY for DVD's!
